**The challenge.** A rough, unlevel, and muddy front yard that suffered from poor surface drainage, zero street appeal, and patchy grass growth.

**Our solution.** Bulk excavated the poor-quality topsoil, installed a structural timber retaining wall to cleanly square off and stabilize the boundary, imported premium sandy loam lawn mix, and laser-leveled the site before rolling out premium Tall Fescue instant turf.

We carefully anchored the structure through the pavers into concrete footings, ensuring seamless alignment and weather-resistant timber spans that maintain an open, light-filled atmosphere.

**The challenge.** A steep, hazardous accessway down from the road to the main entrance on a dense Titirangi bush section. The original setup featured an uneven timber staircase connecting to small, slippery pavers that were unsightly, difficult to navigate, and a major safety hazard in damp West Auckland weather.

**Our solution.** The Pristine Exteriors Ltd team completely redesigned the property’s access from the road down to the front door. We replaced the dangerous old setup with a custom pine timber staircase that seamlessly transitions into large, custom-poured concrete steps winding through the native Waitākere bush. Engineered for sloping, uneven terrain, the new design delivers a wide, level, and slip-resistant walkway designed to withstand shade and damp bush conditions.

**The result.** A master-crafted, highly safe entranceway that transforms a former hazard into a stunning feature. Combining durable timber with solid concrete, the new stairs offer smooth, effortless access while bringing clean lines and high-end curb appeal to the property.

Common questions

My backyard pools water every winter. Can that be fixed?

Usually yes. It starts with reading the site's fall, then installing subsoil drainage, French drains or surface channels to move the water off before new turf or paving goes down.

What does a full transformation cost?

It depends on terrain, access and scope. A lawn levelling and ready lawn install is a very different budget to a multi level build with retaining and paving. Quotes are itemised and free.

Do you handle the whole job?

Yes. Excavation, drainage, structure, paving and planting are all handled by the same crew.
