Pavers sink when the ground under them was rushed. The site is excavated down to stable sub grade, a compacted GAP aggregate basecourse goes in, then screeded bedding sand, precise laying, edge restraints and joint locking sand. That layering is what keeps a driveway flat under a car and stops weeds coming up through the joints.
Auckland rain finds every flat spot. Correct falls, the right sub base and permeable jointing sand send surface water where it should go instead of pooling against the house.

Our solution. Bulk excavated the old soil, re-graded the section to slope water safely away from the house, and installed terracotta paving bordered by custom planter boxes, decorative pebbles, and white chip detailing. Finished with a premium tall fescue ready lawn.

Yes. Levelling and site preparation are part of the job, not an extra.
Large format concrete or natural stone such as basalt or bluestone is popular for entertaining areas. For driveways, smaller interlocking pavers spread vehicle weight better.
Very little. A sweep or a wash down keeps it clean, and topping up the jointing sand every few years keeps it tight.
